When I ran for the Senate in 2022, I promised to make the fight against crime my top priority. I’ve kept my word. I sponsored new laws to strengthen our bail system, voted to hire more State Troopers, and passed a law prohibiting local governments from banning routine traffic stops by the police. I fought to hold our judges and District Attorney accountable. These efforts led to the early retirements of two soft-on-crime judges.

Getting our crime challenge under control is the key to growing Memphis’ economy. From the transportation powerhouse of FedEx to the medical research breakthroughs of St. Jude to the cutting-edge technology of xAI, to thousands of small businesses, we are a community with great potential!
